How I Plan To Become Wealthy As A Digital Nomad

It’s going to involve two factors

It’s always possible to become rich.

The trick is to make sure that you’re doing it in the right ways.

For example, I could become the world’s best writer. My writing could be so valued that people pay me $1,000 hour. I could work from the most luxurious paradises in the world, live in villas and drink out of coconuts for the rest of my life. Sounds like a good gig, right?

Yes and no.

Making $1,000 an hour is great money, but it involves a form of labor. I can’t make that money unless I sit down at my computer and start typing.

I plan to stay a digital nomad for quite some time. I also plan to become quite wealthy while I live this lifestyle. But this wealth won’t solely come from my writing. If it did, that would restrict me to only make money from working.

Cue the passive income.

The idea is to work hard now but keep my eyes open for opportunity.

There is a way to scale what I am doing-in my own way and at the right time, so that I can create a profitable, passive business. I want to sit in paradise off the balcony of my villa with a coconut in one hand and a slice of mango in the other. And I want to be getting paid while I do it.

I believe the trick for me to become wealthy is going to involve two factors:

  1. Keeping my eyes open for opportunity.
  2. Going for it!

The opportunity will come when the time is right and I feel very patient in waiting for said opportunity. Until then, what I can do to ensure that I become wealthy as a digital nomad is to:

  1. Keep my growth curve rising
  2. Continue to become an expert at my craft
  3. Try, fail, try, fail, try and fail
  4. Network with inspired and creative people
  5. Invest in myself
  6. Continue to do something that I love, every single day

It’s always possible to become rich and I’ve strongly come to believe in the magic of patiently waiting for that moment. Until then, I’ll be working from co-working spaces and living in hostels and cheap housing options.

Luckily, I will be drinking from coconuts.

This is my digital nomad story.
